Simon teaches the film program on Creative Pathways for Berridge Programs, in Normandy, France.
A group of six young filmmakers write and a direct a group documentary project, then film the acting students in their on-camera scenes, and then make six individual narrative short films. All in eight weeks.
Under Simon's guidance they work on all of each others films as cinematographer, 1st AD, gaffer, sound operator and PA.
It is a deeply practical immersion into filmmaking where students learn the fundamentals of writing, directing, editing, camera and sound operation, and lighting as well as developing the team skills to work as a professional on a film crew.
He also runs screen acting workshops and stand alone workshops on filmmaking and directing.
